At 5:00PM today, the West Virginia DHHR reported the following COVID-19 update for the Mountain State:
Total Tested: 144,347
Negative: 141,929
Positive: 2.418
Deaths: 88
The following Counties reported COVID-19 updates:
Greenbrier: Total Tested: 3,362
Positive: 42
Recovered: 7
Monroe: Total Tested: 745
Positive: 8
Recovered: 8 + 1 probable
As you can see, the virus continues to grow in Greenbrier County, as well as in the State. The CDC states that we are not yet finished with Stage 1 of the virus, and expect a second wave that is predicted to be worse than this one. The good news is that once you have the COVID-19 antibodies, you should not have to worry about getting it again. The big problem, is unless you have the antibodies without having the virus, you will, indeed, have to get through the virus to carry the antibodies. And this is why I continue to plead with everyone to be vigilant. Be safe, wear a mask whenever you leave your home. I see others when I go out, and those who are wearing masks are few and far between. Please, please, please! WEAR A Mask!
Also, I just caught the end of the report, but the West Virginia State Fair, which is held in August, has been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 virus.
Also, the rapid rise in Greenbrier County's positive residents is rumored to come from a church, where few. if any, wore masks to their gatherings.
PLEASE....you cannot expect God to keep you safe from this virus if you don't use your common sense! Remember, God has brought us so many wonderful physicians and scientists who are working on a cure. They advise us to wear masks, even in church. Read that again, God wants us to use our own noggins and common sense! That is His way to keep us from getting the virus! Wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and wear gloves if you're not sure along with the mask!
So, BE SAFE! In all situations away from home wear a mask!!!
