WV DHHR COVID-19 UPDATE - 30 October 2020

Hello everyone. Well, here it is! The weekend has officially begun! While I am retired, I do still look forward to the lazy days of the weekend. There I can just lie back in the recliner with a good book, a glass of wine, and get lost, with intermittent naps of course! Wake up and make a pot of hot cocoa! Oh, doesn't that sound awesome for the winter? Well, it's certainly cold enough here to be winter! (The high today only 50-degrees, and tonight only 29-degrees. Brrr!

Well, let's get on with our report. I can't daydream just yet! LOL

You will note that for the State, the rise in positive cases is really bad. Up 523 more over night. Greenbrier Co. is up 4, and Monroe Co. is up 1. The State death toll is up 8 since yesterday, while Greenbrier and Monroe Counties have had no further deaths reported at this time.

REMEMBER: Wear a face mask when leaving your home. Make sure it covers both your nose and your mouth since the disease is airborne spread. Remember the life you save may be your own! Practice social distancing (6 feet space between you and anyone else). Practice frequent handwashing, with warm water and soap. If water and soap are not available, use hand sanitizer until they are. Wear gloves if your hands have a sore, cut, cracks or are chapped. Practice good hand moisturizing at home. Together we can beat COVID-19/Coronavirus.

Okay, that's it for today folks. I will see you back here tomorrow. Have a happy, safe weekend! And God bless you all!
