The West Virginia DHHR announced their latest stats as of 10:00am:
TESTED: 83,744
Negative: 82,027
Positive: 1,717
Deaths: 72
The following counties with Positive:
Greenbrier County: 9
Monroe County: 7
The numbers continue to rise. And while many feel that the positive are few, they can be people you pass in the grocery store, or on the street, that are positive, but have no signs or symptoms of the disease. So continue wearing a mask when in public. Wear gloves if you are going to the supermarket, to prevent from handling an item, or touching the handle of the cart you push. Things in the store may have the virus on them.
Be safe always. Remember those around you who may not be able to market for themselves, or need some help otherwise, that you could lend a hand with. Be overly precautious if you have young children or elderly in your home. Even taking your shoes off before entering your home. The soles may have stepped on something, and you might accidentally touch that. Wear easily removeable shoes. Slip them off on your porch, if able. You can make a place to set your shoes, by using an old baking sheet, or even a cardboard box, but make sure your shoes, the kids, and spouses shoes can all fit into the space allowed. Let them sit for three days, and they will be ready to be touched.
Being overly precautious for your family's sake is probably every Mom and Dad's greatest desire. Be kind to one another as this continues to wear on us all. Tempers may be high-strung, arguments are easy when your begin to feel cabin fever. Take the kids to your back yard, and let them play awhile. Sit out with them and just take some deep breaths and enjoy the little outing in your own backyard!
As soon as I find new information, please know I will pass it on.
