WV DHHR COVID-19 UPDATE...Monday, 4 January 2021

 Hello Friends!

I do hope you are having a good Monday morning! The sky is overcast here, and it's cold (34-degrees). It got down into the low 20's last night. We threw an extra quilt on the bed to stay warm.

Well, it looks like Greenbrier and Monroe Counties is seeing a bit of a lull today. But the prediction is said to be much, much worse in about 7-10 days. So, we will have to wait and see.

So, here it is for today:

                                Tested                        Positive                              Deaths

Greenbrier Co.       30,144                       1,101 (up 3)                       36 (no change)

Please remember when you leave your home to wear a face mask that covers both the nose and the mouth. Practice frequent hand washing under running water with hand soap. If these aren't available, use hand sanitizer. Any open cuts, nicks, or other injury , no matter how minor, on the hands and wear gloves to protect yourself. Practice Social Distancing of 8-feet. And practice no congregating. No groups. Stay at home as much as possible. The new strain of the virus is not fully understood yet, if it is more devestating to the body, or less. So take it safe!

I will go for now and will see you all again tomorrow! God bless you and keep you, and yours safe.
