Hello all. So sorry for my recent absence. While not tested, it is believed I had the COVID-19 flu. I had a compromised lung condition before getting this. I had my flu and pneumonia vaccines, so it may, or may not, have helped me. I was exposed about 10 days before symptoms. I only had 2 symptoms: it felt like my airway was so cold it hurt; and a fever that registered 105 on a temporal thermometer (it is held against the temple for taking your temperature, and is considered accurate). I did not have a cough, no aching limbs (although my neuropathy acted up terrible during this time, and I could not stand anything touching my left foot at all). I did get nauseated and did not eat well during that time, but I wasn't sure if that was a symptom, or simply one of my regular problems. The fever would cause me to get terrible hot (I have a problem that does not usually allow me to feel heat or get hot in the summer, so heat intolerance was rare for me). I was taking aspirin and Tylenol for the fever, so my fever would suddenly collapse (drop quickly). That in turn caused the sweat to evaporate, and I would get chills. Which suddenly turned back into the heated feeling in about 90 minutes (too soon to medicate again), and the process would repeat itself. It is nasty stuff. But not as bad as the Swine Flu I had in 1978. Or any other kind of flu I have had previously. Still, it is known that many can infect others with the virus before even showing symptoms, while others never have symptoms and only know they have had the virus by testing. I did self-quarantine, which we have been doing since the outbreak in March. DH does all shopping as needed. I only go out for physician appointments. I haven't seen my Dad, or other family since March. So, it was not a hardship as far as that way.
I am trying to stay on the "path" now, and get reports out to all of you as soon as possible. With all of that said, here is the latest WV DHHR COVID_19 Update:
