Give Me Jesus // Her Heart Sings

I shared this not long ago, but I could hear/sing this all the time. It strikes a chord within my heart and my spirit. Just "Give Me Jesus", and you can have everything else!

Scars In Heaven - Casting Crowns (Lyrics)

Such a beautiful song! I was just sitting here half-listening to the music playing. I've been thinking about my Mom a lot since all of the sickness that has moved through our family. Mom left us a little over 6 years ago. Angels carried her home from a hospital bed in the middle of the night. I live my days thankful for her teaching me of Jesus, and God's amazing grace! I try harder and harder to live a life that she would be proud of when I stand before my God and give an account of my life.  When suddenly, this song came on. Talk about a moment of pause! I know she's in heaven, and tonight she let me know we are still connected.

Please take a listen, and enjoy this lovely song.

Verse of the Day

"Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted."

Hurricane to Bring Snowfall

We are feeling the effects starting this morning. We are getting a bit of the tail of the storm, dropping our Mountaineer temps down in the mid-50's at breakfast!

Hurricane Larry will produce snow measured in feet

Friday is the statistical peak of hurricane season, yet a monster named Larry is forecast to transform into a winter storm that will deliver feet of snow in Greenland.

Charles Aznavour's “Yesterday When I Was Young” by Willie Nelson

I find this song is mirroring my life. I was young for so long. Now sickness , a body that bends for me in every wrong direction I hate to undress any more. The wrinkles, the dirty looking yellow hair that has changed what had turned silver, is so ugly yellow. The rest is filled with slivers of my ugly  my old black, laced with beautiful silver.

Every breathe is painful. I tell my family "I'm okay!" I can't bear to tell them I'd rather just  lay down in my bed, and just never get up again. Pills are the only way I can move about with a modicum of somewhat comfort.

My husband fusses at me more than I can really tolerate. But he told me he fusses at me so I ll be able to take care of myself  when something happens to him. He's afraid he'll go before me. And that might be. But he has given me a terrible cough. My skin smells like his cigarettes. Nasty smelling! The worst is my pocket book, When I unzip it, you can small his nasty smell. Once the doctor told me she can smell his cigarettes on me. He smokes when I'm in the car, and  I get covered with the smell! What can I say!

be. He certainly has lots of symptoms of cancer from smoking. His smoking has certainly

Blake & Trace-Asshole Song

I usually don't repeat these kinds of posts. but you have Blake and Trace, and I couldn't help myself. The song, ugly enough is, "You're still an A**hole to me." Hadn't heard it before, but thought it was so funny! I don't get angry when someone says they didn't read a post of mine, because I said it was crude, what I hate are the people who say they did listen and were offended. So, if a word like this offends you, or there are children in the room, then skip over it. Neither of us will be offended! God bless you and your family!

Hospitals in Beckley, Princeton, and Welch go on red alert

BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) WVVA News has just been informed that hospitals in Beckley, Princeton, and Welch went on red alert around 11 a.m. on Friday.

The update is coming from Raleigh County 911 Dir. and Emergency Coordinator John Zilinski. He said a red alert is the same as diversion, meaning the hospital is in use or lacking some type of life-saving equipment in the ER.

He said Raleigh County 911 is currently working with JanCare Ambulance to ensure the best quality care.

BARH Community CEO, Rocco Massey, elaborated on the designation further on Friday afternoon, saying it means the hospitals are experiencing a surge in patients. Massey said BARH is still taking in patients and resuming normal operations.
He said the designation can sometimes last a couple hours or days.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Raleigh General Hospital also released a statement on the situation on Friday afternoon:

Raleigh General Hospital is currently seeing a notable increase in COVID-19 activity in our community, particularly among the unvaccinated population.  Hospital capacity, including bed availability, is incredibly fluid and can change rapidly.

Raleigh General Hospital provides necessary stabilizing treatment, within its capability and capacity, for individuals who are determined to have an emergency medical condition. Our hospital strictly adheres to the Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act (EMTALA) and, therefore, we provide a medical screening exam to every individual who presents to the emergency department for examination or treatment for an emergency medical condition. In the event our hospital did not have the capacity to admit a patient, we would complete an appropriate transfer to another facility in accordance with EMTALA’s requirements.

We are committed to taking every precaution to keep our patients and staff safe, and we want to remind our community to not put off the care they need during this pandemic.

It is also important to get the COVID-19 vaccine, wear a mask, and practice proper handwashing and social distancing – particularly with the Delta variant surging in our community and nationwide.
