Pearl S. Buck Elementary School Chorus

These children do an amazing performance of "Love, Peace, and Freedom". They are from the school named after one of my favorite novelists of all time. As a small child she lived not far from here in Hillsboro, WV. Her parents became missionries to China. After coming back to America, Pearl decided to go back to China, as a missionary, and to live with her parents. Her father had written and said her mother was ailing, she went back to mostly care for her mother, and stayed to become 'Sai Zenzhu' (her Chinese given name.) Pearl was born in 1892 and died 1973. I remember as a teen finding out she had died. I cried for hours. Her writing was some of my favorite school assignments (I went to a private Christian based school.) She brought China alive for me, as well as the dangers for Christian missionaries there. I started praying for them then, and I continue to do so. She wrote many books, and every one was just so good! If you haven't read anything by Buck, let me recommend that you get started with "The Good Earth".

The Knights Templar Fell Hard

The fall of the Knights Templar

The Knights Templar, also known as the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and
of the Temple of Solomon, or the Order of Solomon’s Temple, was a
religious military order of knighthood who served the Catholic church.

Following the successes of the 1st Crusade, a number of Crusader states were formed in the Holy Land, leading to an influx of pilgrims from Western Europe to travel to the sacred sites of Christendom.

Many pilgrims were either killed by banditry, or whilst crossing through hostile Muslim controlled territory. This led to the founding of a military order called the Poor Knights of the Temple of King Solomon in 1118 by Hugues de Payens, along with relatives and brothers in arms, with the sole purpose of protecting travellers on their pilgrimage.

The Knights Templar swore an oath of poverty, chastity, obedience, and were expected to honour the fasts and vigils of the monastic calendar just as the Cistercians and other monks.

The rest of this article can be found on https://heritagedaily.com  . I'm not sure, but yu may need to register for their free newsletter in order to read it.

I have been fascinated with the Knights Templar for more than 40 years. I read as much about them as I possibly can. Recently, The Curse of Oak Island has found them associated with treasure on the island, which would have been deposited about 1,000 years ago! (12th century!)

Is there anything that you find interesting enough to study it? I find myself studying alot of different subjects, especially pertaining to the Scriptures, those associated with the Scriptures, and artifacts. My DH studies anything alien related. I tried to get interested in that, so that we might have a shared interest, but I couldn't. Just not my thing. How about you?

Do you believe the Holy Grail (whatever that is), the Ark of the Covenant, or a ship in the swamp off Oak Island, Nova Scotia, is really out there, please let us know in the comments. Or if you believe aliens from space once lived on our planet, let us know! Everyone is safe to comment here, we will not tolerate any ridicule, or anyone 'picking for a fight'. No bullying allowed!

I'll be watching for your comment below!
