While I didn't make any breakfast, I did eat a single left over cowboy biscuit from Sunday morning...
...this and a cup of coffee got me going!
I didn't eat any lunch, knowing full well that dinner would be calorie laden!
I whipped up a batch of my favorite pancake batter and in my favorite cast iron skillet...
...they are a breeze to make!
I had three of these yummy bad boys! And used...
...Country Crock and syrup on them. Yum yum!!!
So what was the result of all these calories for the day???
Calories Consumed: 1,092 [-348]
Not too bad!!!
I did get a bit more done on the winters cap I am making. So... here's your first peak...
...it's the softest feeling stuff! Another Hook and Needle Club kit. At this point, I can't see how it's going to come out exactly as the picture on the pattern, even though I have not wavered a bit in execution. But neither could I the last pattern, so I will reserve judgement until complete. I will say, this can't possibly be a warm cap, as in working it to match the guage, I am obtaining a very loose, almost open knit. Again, let's simply finish the project and wait and see the end results.
What do you think so far?
I did find a vintage pattern yesterday for World War I era gauntlets [what we are calling "wristlets" today]. I hope to make myself a pair soon. My hands and lower arms get so cold. [In attempting to keep heating bills lowered, we keep the thermostat between 68 and70-degrees F. And my poor self is staying cold! Must be geriatric in me coming out!]
And today I purchased two Alan Dart patterns:

Mr. and Mrs. Christmas via here
and...

...Nativity Set via here
I only recently discovered the amazing talent of Alan Dart, and love to visit his website here, for inspiration. I have to tell you that delivery of the download link for pattern purchases is almost instantaneous! Love, Love that before I could get to my email, the download links were already there. And paying via PayPal allows for easy monetary exchange [the price for each was 2.50 UK - which was 3.95 US excellent prices!]
Now I can't wait to finish some of my other projectsto get started with these!!!
I am planning soup and grilled cheese for dinner this evening.
What's on the menu at your house?
Is there something on your knitting needles? Or crochet hook? At your sewing machine?
Since I am thinking geriatric this afternoon, let me share with you a pic I found on Facebook today...
Go ahead... laugh. You know you want to!
